Brazilian X English birthday party?

I will soon have to organize a birthday party to my daughter and I was wondering if a Brazilian-style party would be more interesting than trying to copy the birthday parties we've been to in England. We wouldn't have anything wild going on, but food, music and maybe the treats in the party bag could be different as well as some of the activities. I tend to think a "foreign party" would be more interesting, but I don't want to be accused of trying to impose my culture on people... Maybe a should try to do a mix of both like "P the parcel with samba music"?
