Fielding Trouble iN baseball.. 10 points rewarded for best answer?

Okay now I start shortstop for my highschool team, and the past game I had 3 errors and its been happening for a while now. It just seem's like I am scared of the ball a little bit, and I have no idea what to do. I was told by my coaches to charge the ball now how should I do it with my glove to the side or just take a couple steps in and keep the glove in the middle? Also what should I do about feeling a little scared of the ball, I used to be like out on the field the best player because I would hit great and I would be alsome fielding what should I do to get back in the zone??
